It was great to participate in the recent four-hour tabletop exercise with hundreds of financial institutions developed by the Global Resilience Federation (GRF) and Nacha to assess organizational resilience after a simulated, but plausible destructive wiperware incident that includes a major ACH outage.
This exercise highlighted the value of the GRF’s Operational Resilience Framework (ORF).
Fusion3 Consulting is partnering with the authors of the framework, the GRF’s Business Resilience Council (BRF), to create an Accelerator taking advantage of the ServiceNow platform to expand on existing business continuity principles.
Recently spotlighted in the “Strategy for Cyber-Physical Resilience” report by the President’s Council on Science and Technology (PCAST), the ORF enhances Business Continuity Management principles from other standards and other frameworks while providing a robust pathway to heightened resilience and operational maturity.
Minimal Viable Services
The ORF introduces the concept of Minimum Viable Service Levels (MVSLs), which ensures critical services maintain essential functionality through disruptions. By utilizing the ServiceNow ORF Accelerator, organizations will be able to identify necessary MVSLs, laying the groundwork for system-wide Performance Goals and Delivery Objectives across National Critical Functions. This is particularly vital for Critical Infrastructure Sectors like water, energy, defense, manufacturing, financial services, communications, and others.
Please connect with Charlie Tupitza if you represent the government or industry with ServiceNow in place and are interested in a briefing on this accelerator.
