In the latest episode of Koffee with Kevin – Kevin talks upgrades. However, not just upgrading from Utah to Vancouver to Washington DC. While you need to upgrade your platform to these new family of releases, you can’t forget about your applications. Applications are on a different upgrade schedule than the core system and are not automatically upgraded when you upgrade the platform. You may have a new version (or 2) of the application you are using.
As an example, if you have Policy and Compliance installed and being used – there may be a new version available now that you upgraded to Vancouver. If you do not pay attention to your application versions you can get very behind and miss out on new features and fixes. Take your smartphone – you can upgrade to a new phone – but each app on your phone can also be upgraded separately. ServiceNow is much the same.
